Task - View multiple video recordings in a bookmark or shared link

If a bookmark or external link contains footage from multiple cameras, you can view them sequentially in full screen or simultaneously in a 2x2 panel layout.

The 1x1 and 2x2 layouts are only available in Aware and not when viewing external links in a browser.

  1. Log in to Aware and open the Saved clips tool.
  2. Select a bookmark icon bookmark or external link icon external link with multiple CAMERAS.
  3. Hover over the side panel video and click maximize video button Maximize video.
  4. From the Layout side panel, you can choose a 1x1 sequential view or a 2x2 simultaneous view.
  5. From the Clips side panel, you can see a thumbnail of each recording:
    1. Click on a clip to play it. Aware highlights the playing clip, and clips continue to play sequentially.
  6. In the 1x1 layout:
    1. A dotted outline shows clips with timeframes that overlap the playing clip.
    2. If clip timeframes overlap, the first clip plays until it ends. The playback then switches to the following clip, starting where the first clip ended.
    3. The overlapped part of the following clip does not play.
    4. Clips with timeframes that start after and end before other clips might not play.
    5. To playback an entire clip, select it from the Clips side panel.
  7. In the 2x2 layout:
    1. If clip timeframes overlap, they play simultaneously in an available video pane.
    2. If more than four clips overlap, subsequent clips only play when a previous clip ends and a pane becomes free.
    3. Aware highlights all playing clips in the side panel.
  8. If there is a gap between the timeframes of clips, playback automatically jumps to the following recording after three seconds.
    1. To begin the following clip immediately, choose Jump.
  9. The playback timeline shows the timeframes of each clip:
    1. Aware highlights all playing timeframes.
    2. Hover over a clip in the side panel to highlight its timeframe.
    3. Hover over a timeframe to highlight the corresponding clip.
    4. Click on a timeframe to play the corresponding clip.
