Use email address as user name When you first log into the Alta Aware mobile app after upgrading to version 3.4, you are asked to provide and verify your email address. Once verified, your email address becomes your user name, and must subsequently be used to log into Alta Aware. iPhone app 3.4.1

Compatibility

Using the Alta Aware app for iPhone and iPad on iPad devices is not currently supported. Your iPhone must be running iOS version 15 or later.

Aware user permissions

To use the Alta Aware mobile app for iOS devices, you must already have a user profile set up for the Alta Aware deployments you want to monitor, with at least the following permissions:

  • View live video
  • View historic video
  • View devices in video view
  • View alarms

Installation

To start using the Alta Aware mobile app for iOS devices:

  1. From your Apple iOS device, navigate to the App Store and search for Alta Aware.
  2. Install the App.
  3. Connect to your Alta Aware deployment: enter your server name (for example, aware-test-server) in the Deployment name field.
  4. Tap NEXT.
  5. Enter your Alta Aware Username and Password.
  6. Tap SIGN IN.
