Alta Aware for iPad

The Alta Aware mobile app now officially supports the Apple iPad.

The iPad app includes Video view, with support for 1x1, 2x2 and 1+3 camera layouts.

Unified search history Alta Aware now stores the last five searches made by each user, and they persist across all mobile and device sessions. 3.5.1
Default units of measurement The Alta Aware mobile app now uses the default units of measurement selected in the deployment settings. You can change the units used in the mobile app in your user preferences. Alarms and alerts from Aware always use the default deployment settings. 3.5.1

Compatibility

Your iPhone or iPad must be running iOS version 15 or later.

Aware user permissions

To use the Alta Aware app for iOS devices, you must already have a user profile set up for the Alta Aware deployments you want to monitor, with at least the following permissions:

  • View live video
  • View historic video
  • View devices in video view
  • View alarms

Installation

To start using the Alta Aware app for iOS devices:

  1. From your Apple iOS device, navigate to the App Store and search for Alta Aware.
  2. Install the App.
  3. Connect to your Alta Aware deployment: enter your server name (for example, aware-test-server) in the Deployment name field.
  4. Tap NEXT.
  5. Enter your Alta Aware Username and Password.
  6. Tap SIGN IN.
